"My son, Nick, has struggled for most of his 23 years and nothing was working to make his life better. Nick's coping skills were to pop a pill for any emotional distress he was experiencing. He was ready to be done with life as he felt miserable inside and he was HOPELESS!!
Well that was the case until I discovered The River Source in the small town of Casa Grande, Arizona. Nick was at the River Source for only 5 weeks but what a difference it has made in his life. The River Source taught Nick coping skills, the counseling was excellent, the doctors were very caring and wonderful, along with very caring and compassionate staff. Nick is finally interacting with his peers (he has faced alot of rejection in his life) and is starting to feel good about himself.
As a parent, The River Source gave me peace of mind to know that Nick was in a safe and caring environment. During a phone conversation I had with an employee, he stated, "watching Nick come out of his shell is a beautiful transformation"!! Needless to say, my heart has never smiled so big. In a nutshell, The River Source was a miracle in our life and I am very grateful for the holistic program they provide. "Sixty days after checking into The River Source I am leaving a different person. I have attempted recovery before with other treatment facilities and none of them can compare. We have a lot of participation in outside , local meetings and with individuals with a lot of time in recovery willing and wanting to sponsor. The staff is phenomenal and very attentive to each persons specific needs. Yoga, massage and acupuncture helped keep me in balance while daily gymnasium exercise kept me fit. I highly recommend The River Source to anyone serious about leading a life of recovery!

"What brought me to The River Source was my opiate use. I knew that I had to detox so my mom went online and searched for detox centers and she found this place. My experience here was great at first I didn’t like it but The River Source made life possible for me. After the 2nd week of treatment my body was getting healthy. I had a spiritual experience here that has changed my life. My life today is amazing; I can appreciate life on life’s terms. I have my family back, also my mind, body, and spirit. "I'm BJ and I'm a heroin addict who drinks alcoholically. I was ready to accept help. If it were up to me i would have went somewhere closer to home. Thank god I didn't. Coming to realize that there is no coincidences in Gods world, almost like a shot in the dark I ended up at The River Source. Being from Boston, i thought that the facility would be full of meth-addicted cowboys. That was not the case. There i met a woman who came to become a huge influence on me and an even bigger part of my recovery: Sharmyn. One of my first conversations with her I noticed she had written something down on a piece of paper. It ended up being the number of my sponsor. She advised me to call him, and that I did. Through The River Source and my sponsor, I needed the super structure of the program. During my 60 day stay I had come to build relationships with clients and staff in which I never thought I could have. The love and honesty in which I have found there is incredible. There I had found a solution. I give my compliments to the doctors and staff. Entering the program I was a 32 year old punk, with a huge problem with authority and issues with violence and anger. I loved to hate. Being bated into a cure for my alcohol and drug issue I got down with the 12 steps. In doing so I came to realize (with the help of everyone there including my sponsor) the malady the condition that I suffer from. Even more important I came to understand why and how I treated people the way that I did.
Honestly I am truly grateful for The River Source. From a place where I don't even have words to express I feel I owe them my life. So if you’re ready to stop burning everything and everyone you love into the ground, and are willing to hear and have the solution, give The River Source a chance. It’s the least you could do.

"I did not want to come to treatment. I only came to please my family. We found the River Source in the Google search engine and decided on it. My experience at the River Source was unlike any other experience in my life. I learned to love myself. Only with the great curriculum and the aid of the staff was I able to fin d any sort of a higher power. My presentation of my step one to the group may very well be the most humbling and “eye opening” experience of my life. It is hard for me to put into words everything that the River Source has done for me and my spiritual growth. The friends I have made here will forever be in my heart and prayers. If you ever feel that life sucks and that God has abandoned you and that you’re only solution is the bottle or suicide… call the River Source. It will be a life changing experience, literally!

"After researching and visiting a number of facilities something kept drawing me to The River Source. I was looking for a place that had a 12-step holistic approach to treatment, but also matched my beliefs philosophically. I especially liked the daily yoga classes, 12 step meetings, nutritional program including IV vitamins and holistic clinic services, and access to a gym.
My experience at The River Source during my 60 day stay was great. It quickly became apparent that I had made the right choice in selecting The River Source. I initially committed to staying 30 days but the time went so quickly and the healing that I was experiencing made staying another 30 days an easy decision. The care is of extremely high quality, the staff makes their very difficult jobs look easy, and their enthusiasm for the program is quite contagious. The creature comforts are also quite good: comfortable outdoor relaxation areas and the facility is kept very clean. To me, one of the most valuable characteristics of The River Source is their structured program and strict enforcement of the rules. During my stay I learned that these traits, along with the program quality, are what makes The River Source one of the most effective treatment centers in the Southwest. I would highly recommend The River Source to anyone that is serious about conquering their addiction.

"I was in need of a treatment program so I called Alcoholics Anonymous. AA recommended two different programs in the Phoenix Metro area including The River Source. The River Source staff member I called described the program and I was impressed so I reserved a spot. I feel fortunate to have found this 12-step holistic treatment center. Their program is modeled after one of the most successful recover programs in existence. After 60 days in this program, I feel extremely health in mind, body, and spirit. The staff is professional, consistent, fair, reasonable, and experienced. The medical staff makes the clients as comfortable as possible in detox and follow-up nutritional protocols geared specifically to each client. The aftercare program makes me as comfortable in sobriety as I could imagine. I would highly recommend The River Source for anyone with a drug and/or alcohol problem or addiction. "To whom it may concern,
My name is John L. and I came to The River Source because my life was completely out of control. I was running around drinking and using meth. I have been an addict for 23 years, in and out of prison, not caring about anything or anyone. I would only get sober while in jail. I’d lost everything.
I’ve spent a total of 9 ½ years in prison and county jail, on 4 different occasions. I cleaned up every time, with the longest being 4 years. However, after being released, it would never take me long to start using again. My addiction overwhelms me. This time is different, due to my Higher Power. My God.
Before I went to prison this last time, I married my soul mate. I spent the next 3 ½ years in prison with my wife supporting me and staying by my side. I was blessed. And thank God, I am still blessed.
My dad also got sick while I was in jail. There was no curing his illness. I prayed every day to God, to please keep him alive long enough for me to prove to him that I could change and become a better man. A man that he could be proud of. I know it sounds selfish, but I needed his love.
After getting out of jail, I was able to spend less than a month with my father before he passed. I had worked hard, stayed clean and finally made my dad proud of me.
A few weeks passed before my addiction overtook me. Everything that I worked so hard for was slowly disappearing. I was destroying my marriage and my dad’s business. I was out of control.
I know it sounds crazy but I thank God for a DUI. I got this in July 2011 and one of my “punishments” was counseling. It was at the first session my wife and I had, that I told them that I wanted to go to rehab. I tried to go somewhere else but it didn’t feel right. So I went to a detox in casa Grande. They referred me to The River Source and I thank God for that.
The staff here is amazing. The programs, the exercise and the natural vitamins are a God send. The other clients here are so great that I feel blessed to be here. This is where I needed to be.
I never thought I could beat my addiction. I will always be an addict but thanks to The River Source, AA, NA and HA, I now have the tools to control it. I turned my will over to God. I have hope now and have learned to love myself.
I thank god for my counselor Holli. My marriage is better than ever. My wife, Cheryl, is my life. I have 2 grandchildren and 1 on the way. I don’t know how I could ever live without them.

This place could not be this fantastic if it wasn’t for Jenny, the Director. She battles with the insurance companies because she cares.
You feel loved as soon as you walk through the door. I can’t imagine living any way than sober now. Thanks to God, my wife and The River Source. If you genuinely want to live life happy and clean, there is no other place to start than The River Source.
