"What brought you to The River Source? I could not quit using. Tried over and over made empty promises, wanted to but couldn't quit. Life was totally out of control was going to die. Why did you choose The River Source? A friend of mine went through here. What was your experience like at The River Source? It was a great experience so grateful to have had the opportunity never thought this was possible. Feel very fortunate that everyone in my life made this possible. How did The River Source help you? They were able to see some things about me that I could not, which is usually the case in addicts, we can see their issues but can rarely see our own. Because of this some things were brought to my attention that I may not have seen otherwise. What is your life like now? I feel far more content. I think I don't need to seek positive affirmation all the time which I think was one of the core reasons for my use. Would you recommend The River Source? Absolutely I would like to thank the whole staff for the approach they take. I have learned something from everyone here. You guys have a great diversity of personalities on staff from Jerica who is a very sweet and comforting person, she makes people feel safe, to Don who is an unbelievably passionate addict who has been down as bad as anyone can be. People can relate to him. Then he speaks with such passion and conviction. He is truly captivating and people can relate and because of that they listen. I could go on and on but just want you guys to know this place was a god send for me. Don't know if it was because of my mindset this time but this was by far my best experience in a treatment setting. Thank you all you have saved my life.

"My experience at The River Source changed my life. I learned I truly have a sickness and powerless over it. I became willing to ask for help and with that willingness I felt God. I realized he was always there I just didn’t want to recognize it. I know I was guided here. I leave here having a spiritual connection and tools that are guiding me. I am sober and happy sober. I never thought I could be sober and have joy in my life. I have learned how my brain is always telling me what I want to hear but I can recognize more and more when to pray, meditate, and talk to people when this happens. I am learning how to rely on god to guide me, not my brain. I am extremely grateful for everyone at The River Source. The River Source has given me the best gift I could receive, I am sober today!

"I chose The River Source on my own accord. Through research I was looking for an environment that would enable to experience a spiritual approach to my disease- Alcoholism. As well, I was looking for the opportunity to initiate the 12-Step Program so I could fully understand the "solution" it provides. Those primary features alongside the Naturopathic Approach to health and healing reinforced my research and ultimate choice to come to The River Source-Mesa. My experience here has been outstanding. From the entire staff to my peers I have experienced a true spiritual change. My eyes have been opened to my disease, the understanding of my "inner self" and my connection to a "Higher Power". What was once a feeling of hopelessness is now a knowing of true inner peace, freedom, surrender, meaning of honesty and fellowship. What was once an ego driven life run by pure "self will" is now a life built on "Power Greater than Myself". I find myself often saying to myself throughout the day "Gods Will Be Done". The knowing that God has a plan for me and all I have to do is "get out of the way" is a spiritual experience I've experience and intend to work hard to bring into the World that awaits me. I will and would recommend The River Source to anyone I feel wants and need the experience I received and cherish the rest of my life.

"What brought me to The River Source was my mom, I thought I could be here for her and I was pissed, but I came to realize that I need to be here for me. My mom chose The River Source because it’s a structured place and it’s a spiritual place and she said the staff and people here are really cool. The program is really structured and keeps on top of things. My experience here at The River Source is really amazing it’s so different to experience a new way of life and how to handle it and realize that you can come close to yourself and recovery. The River Source helped me become who I am today and how to be myself and not worry about anyone else and how to deal with my problems in many situations and how to express my emotions. My life now is so amazing and I feel free to be myself and not care what people think about me and the way to handle myself and I can actually smile and be happy for once. I have never been this happy in a long time. It’s good to know that my family gets me back and realize that I’m not a bad person getting better, I’m a sick person getting well. I would very much so recommend The River Source because it’s an amazing place here and it really brings families back together. For anyone who comes in it’s a miracle to have this place.
Sincerely,

"I came to The River Source because my life had become an unmanageable nightmare. I was losing things that I had worked very hard for before addiction. My life had become stagnant. I was on hold the last 9 years, it felt like one never ending day. My life had lost all meaning and purpose; I had stopped working towards the goals that I had set for myself long ago, even though they were very attainable. I chose The River Source because the IOP I was at gave me several choices of treatment centers, and they explained they had witnessed great success. My experience at The River Source was amazing I came in with very low expectations of myself because I had tried many times before. I was very excited when I began attending groups because all the staff is so passionate. The enthusiasm they possess is very contagious. So I could not help but to take my recovery serious and jump feet first into it. I now have hope in my life as well as confidence that I can be successful and happy in a sober life. I would absolutely recommend The River Source because I have witnessed so many miracles here that it is impossible for me to think of anything negative to say.
Sincerely,

"I came to The River Source because I was addicted to crystal meth. My family life had crumbled around me. My husband confronted me the night before I came into treatment. I felt no other options for myself than to admit defeat and ask for help. I came to The River Source because my husband and I both realized I needed an inpatient treatment center to start recovery. While at The River Source I learned how to live life on life’s terms. I realized the importance of being honest with others and most importantly myself. While being here I developed the willingness to change. I learned the coping skills I needed to never have to use drugs again. I am now able to utilize the help I received here at The River Source into my life, as a wife and mother. I highly recommend The River Source Treatment Center to anyone suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.

"I came to The River Source after 11 years of alcohol and drug abuse. I finally came to the point where I realized my life was going nowhere fast and I needed to go to a place where I could learn to live my life drug and alcohol free. I saw too many very close people meet their demise. The River Source was my choice because of their philosophy on how to treat drug and alcohol addiction. I had been to other places where all they do is drug me up without worrying about restoring me to better health. I was also drawn to this place by their strong reliance on the 12 steps, something I have found to be a lifelong tool for keeping me sober. Being based on naturopathic medicine was also a big draw for me. My experience here has been nothing short of fantastic. The staff here are incredible, and made me feel completely welcome, something that is difficult to do for someone that really never felt at ease anywhere, like myself. I enjoyed every aspect of the program as I learned that every part had its specific purpose. I was helped here by gaining a solid foundation to continue my sobriety when I leave and go back out into the real world. My life is now full of hope and purpose, something I have strived to get for many years, without success. I would recommend The River Source as a first choice for anyone that is struggling with chemical dependence. They offer the best programming I have seen as long as the client is willing to grasp on to it with no reserve. All I can add is that I thank The River Source and especially its staff for everything. I cannot imagine where I would be today without the help I have been given. I will be forever grateful.
Sincerely,

"The River Source has been my saving grace. I wish I would have come here four years ago. I came here for alcohol treatment after a relapse last month. My sponsor and an AA friend found The River Source online and drove me here. I was a mess. I had been in AA for several years—but I see now that I was hardly working a program—that was what I was missing and that is why I relapsed. What a package deal this place has been. The staff, the food, the program—even the IV bags and the yoga, all of this came together to give me the pieces I was missing! This has been a great experience. I am now on track and ready to face the world. I now have a sponsor and I’m on steps 8&9—I will be getting a home group and a service commitment—my spirituality has grown and my anxiety and worry are at rest. I would definitely recommend The River Source to someone in need—thank you to all the staff for your hard work and dedication.

"My family convinced me that I needed treatment. Also I had pending legal charges that I could not stay clean for. My family told me to find a rehab and call around for help. I found the River Source on the internet and was really the only place we could afford. Also the activities and freedom they offered also really helped me with my recovery. My experience is an experience I will never forget, wish it could have been longer. Realistic problems and issues of everyday life, like chores, the structure, the staff has REALLY HELPED me open my eyes, there's more to life than drugs and alcohol. Took almost a month to to really understand and grasp the the serious of this disease. The River Source helped me to deal with my emotions and be able to express and accept them. And thoughts are just that, thoughts. To live life sober and life on life's terms. My life has pulled a 180, really excited to jump into sober living. Would recommend The River Source to everyone, sober or loaded. I wish every addict and alcoholic to commit longer to experience a spiritual awakening and experience life sober long enough to enjoy what life has to offer. 5 stars I think I learned more in 60 days than the past 6 years. Really, Really have a great group in of staff here, that actually care for each and everyone of us. Means a lot to me! Can't forget Colleen, which really opened my eyes and straightened me out A LOT! Really appreciate it. Sharmyn got me to brake down, almost, but she'a a really good Life Coach! and thanks to Rusty for "hopefully" believing in me and giving me a second chance! I am very Grateful to have gotten an opportunity to share my recovery with everyone here!
