When I called seeking treatment for myself I encountered two kinds of facilities. The first facility I went to sold me on the amenities. I was drawn in by promises of beachfront property, private chefs, and an environment that would make my stay comfortable. The actual treatment I received at that program was lacking and shortly after coming home, I relapsed. The second treatment center I called was The River Source. By this time I knew what questions to ask when seeking treatment and I received honest answers, my admissions coordinator shared a detailed plan of what to expect upon admission and what would happen when I came to treatment. The program at The River Source is robust and I’ve maintained my personal recovery ever since completing the full continuum of care.
As the Admissions Director, I want to make sure that everyone who calls The River Source receives a similar experience that I did. My department aims to clearly communicate the truth about recovery and to thoroughly explain what makes treatment work. We understand the gravity of the situation when a person is finally ready to receive help and my department and I approach our daily conversations with clients and families with a sense of urgency and understanding. Let us be your guides through the treatment selection and admissions process.
Outside of work I enjoy recovery activities, personal fitness, going to the gym, watching live sports, and spending time with family.
