Addiction Doesn’t Wait — Neither Should Your Recovery
COVID-19 Update: Online Help Is Available
In light of the global pandemic brought on by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), we at The River Source have taken special precautions to minimize the risk of exposure and transmission to our clients, families, and team members. As a leader in substance abuse rehabilitation and treatment, we’re committed to helping our public health leaders contain this pandemic while still providing our community with the recovery services they need.
However, because clients in outpatient treatment are regularly leaving our facilities, we are limited in our ability to monitor their activity and mitigate their risk for exposure. In light of this, we’re going to be providing outpatient therapies via telehealth, with all programming services taking place online. This allows us to continue providing clients with access to critical therapies from the comfort and safety of their homes.
We’re continuing to offer detox, residential treatment, and PHP in our facilities. All of these programs are self-contained, allowing us to closely monitor our clients’ health and manage strict sanitation protocols.

Remote Online Intensive Outpatient Program
Reclaiming Your Life with Remote IOP
Addiction recovery is a lifelong journey that requires consistency and constant effort. At The River Source, we want to make sure that your access to quality treatment doesn’t lapse for any reason. With our telehealth IOP, you can receive all the same treatment offered on-site from the convenience of your home, including:
Confidential care using HIPAA-compliant applications
Group programming that builds fellowship and understanding
Individual counseling that provides personal guidance and growth
Occasional on-site drug testing to motivate sobriety and provide accountability (staggered to limit interactions during COVID-19)
We make enrolling in our telehealth option simple: internet access, a phone or laptop, and an email address are all that you need to enroll in our online programming.
Virtual Recovery Services
Whether you’re enrolling in online IOP after completing an inpatient rehab program or are entering outpatient treatment from the start of your recovery journey, the first step in the outpatient process is creating a schedule and a treatment plan tailored to your needs. We’ll build an online schedule for treatment that will best support your recovery while remaining as flexible as possible.
Over an average of 60 days or a total of 24 sessions, we use structured counseling, evidence-based therapy, and a holistic approach to recovery to help you build and refine the tools you’ll need to support lifelong sobriety.
Telehealth Intensive Outpatient Program Individual Counseling
During telehealth IOP, you’ll have access to the same quality of individual counseling as you would if participating in the program on-site, but instead of being face-to-face, you’ll interact with our experienced addiction counselors through video chat and other online communication.
You’ll have access to a private, confidential, judgment-free environment where we help you address your addiction and any co-occurring disorders. We focus on helping you overcome grief, trauma, and stress in order to foster a complete and lasting recovery.
Even though you’re participating in IOP treatment online, we believe that it’s still important to develop fellowship between you and your peers in recovery. Through video chat and other online communication methods, we provide clients using telehealth the opportunity to participate in group counseling.
Group therapy offers unique advantages compared to family or individual therapy because it involves a group of people who are experiencing similar struggles. Group therapy is beneficial for forming support structures, lessening isolation, encouraging accountability, and exploring new perspectives.
Created by the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous, the 12 Steps are guidelines for those recovering from substance abuse to follow when overcoming addiction. The 12-Step model provides support, accountability, and encouragement for the people who need it most.
During telehealth IOP, we continue to help our clients engage with the 12 Steps, providing guidance and support as they progress through each step. As with our in-person programming, we have a flexible approach to the 12 Steps during online treatment and allow clients to take each step at their own pace.
Our goal is to provide you with the resources you’ll need to live a successful, fulfilling life. To help accomplish this, we hold online life skill workshops and offer life coaching so that we can help you acquire the tools you need for a successful professional and personal life.
We can personalize these online life skill workshops to help you reach your individual goals. For example, if you’re struggling with finding a job after rehab, we can help you create and refine your resume and help you prepare for an interview.
Many clients with a substance use disorder will also suffer from a mental health disorder such as anxiety or depression. The two diseases have symptoms that intermingle and affect each other, making it difficult to recognize and treat both problems.
At The River Source, we’re no stranger to treating these co-occurring (“dual diagnosed”) conditions. Through online interactions with our addiction specialists, who are well-versed in recognizing and treating co-occurring disorders, we can provide our clients with a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses both substance abuse and mental health disorders at the same time.
