After years of daily drinking my family finally staged an intervention for me on the morning of September 6, 2015. That afternoon my 2 brothers brought me to The River Source where I checked in. I had no interest in being in treatment and attempted to leave before I ever got started. It was a nurse named Diana who convinced me to stay the first night. The next day late in the afternoon I made the decision to leave my room and at least see what the program was before I left. It was nothing like I had envisioned. Everyone was so warm and welcoming immediately. I quickly began to feel more comfortable and my fears faded. By the time I went to sleep that evening I had made the decision to stay and try to work the program. One month later I feel more physically healthy, spiritually fit and full of hope than I have in over 10 years. I am so grateful for the time that I’ve spent here and the lessons I’ve learned. I’m so grateful to Diana for not letting me leave. I am filled with hope and enthusiasm for the future and truly feel as though I owe The River Source my life.
