I had lived for years in a nightmare that I had no idea how to get out of, I was struggling with a lot of medical issues and absolutely did not believe that I could function without some kind of medication to dull the pain. However I also knew that the nightmare would only get worse, if nothing changed.
I fully expected to not make it through much more than a week or two of treatment. I could not have landed in a better place. I ended up staying for 60 days and while at the River Source I learned how to face and deal with my problems rather than doing everything I could to avoid them or numb them out. I learned how to start dealing with life. The process wasn’t easy and it wasn’t always fun but I came out the other side more prepared for life.
The River Source was a blessing for me. Nobody “did the work” for me but they were with me every step of the way. I still talk too many of the staff members. The friends that I have made here are the first honest friends I have ever had in a very long time. It’s an amazing feeling to know that there are people out there that have my back. The best part is now I have the ability to have theirs as well.
