Well, I thought only my addictions got me here at first, I learned quickly there were other reasons I came to rehab. There was much more to deal with than just stopping; that was the easy part. About choosing The River Source, I’m not sure why I did. Honestly, I just got tired of looking and just chose one. Whatever led me here, led me right.

My time here was good. I have learned many tools to help me get through life like a normal person. Without being loaded all the time; to deal with people, places and situations like an adult and how to react rationally. The River Source not only did that, but it has shown me that I can actually be happy and not just put on my game face. At times it was frustrating, even angering, however, I worked through it and realized it was me who was doing it to myself.

I can now look at my life in a positive light and not feel the need to get loaded every time I don’t agree or like something. So far, my life is going pretty damn good! Don’t get me wrong, I’m a bit nervous about the real world, but I’m more excited to go and live life as a normal person with a disease in remission. And yes, I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a better way, anyone who is lost or to anyone is past being sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Finally the staff; the staff here is amazing. The fact that all of the staff have recovered is amazing! They know exactly what you are going through, how you feel and how to “fix it”. They are all active in the recovery community and can help you where others cannot. That in itself is a gift!
