OUR TOP PROGRAMS:
Detox Treatment Program
Detoxification is the process of removing the drug/alcohol and its toxins from the body and starting the addict/alcoholic on the path to sobriety. Not only do we believe in eliminating toxins but also strengthening the mind and body so that it is prepared for a complete recovery.
Our detoxification process takes place in a safe, home-like environment where patients receive integrative medical care. Our prescribing doctors keep our patients as comfortable as possible during their detox. Patients secure a personalized care plan that includes ongoing supervision and naturopathic treatment options such as nutritional IV therapy, amino acid therapy, Infrared sauna detox and B12 shots. The detoxification process takes an average of 3-10 days and starts patients on the path to sobriety.
Inpatient Treatment Program
The cornerstone of The River Source is our integrative inpatient program that offers intensive rehabilitation for 30, 60 or 90 days. No other drug and alcohol treatment program is as inclusive or extensive as ours. Patients are admitted after a thorough screening where we determine the scope of treatment needed. Included in our inpatient care is detox counseling, life coaching, fitness and wellness, an introduction to the 12 Steps and integrative or conventional medication for treating co-occurring conditions such as anxiety and depression.
Also included in our inpatient program is holistic treatment options such as acupuncture, massage therapy, meditation and neurofeedback. We are on the cutting-edge of integrative medicine and want to offer an arsenal of tools to help our patients succeed. Our inpatient program gives attention to the mind, body and spirit for complete healing, and each patient receives intensive rehabilitative care, a cozy room, nutritious meals and access to integrative medical staff throughout their stay.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program
Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is ideal for recovering addicts and alcoholics seeking structure and support in their current environment. To accommodate all schedules, we offer flexible times that allow patients to tend to their daily responsibilities while getting the treatment they need to remain clean and sober.
Intensive outpatients receive personalized treatment plans that involve nutritional IV therapy, B12 shots, acupuncture, infrared sauna treatments and nutritional counseling. We also encourage family participation, individual counseling sessions, group therapy and life skill workshops that are focused on working the 12 Steps, accountability and relapse prevention, all conducive to sober living.
12 Step Program
The 12 Step program has been an integral tool for recovering addicts and alcoholics for decades. Its purpose is to initiate and develop spiritual growth in recovering addicts, giving them meaning and direction in life. The River Source practices these principles during recovery with the intent of providing understanding, encouragement and purpose in life.
We also encourage our patients to continue pursuing the 12 Steps after they leave treatment. It takes time to work through each Step, but the progress and growth made is substantial. By working with a 12 Step group, clients are able to share their experiences, strengths and hopes with others to fully recover from addiction and/or alcoholism and lead a life of sobriety and fulfillment.
Addiction Counseling Sessions
Rarely does a patient come to us needing attention for the addiction or alcoholism alone. Generally speaking, substance abuse is a symptom of something greater; deep-rooted issues or co-occurring conditions like depression or anxiety that can or have led to the continued abuse. If these issues are not dealt with, the patient is more at risk for relapse. This is why counseling is important; it helps patients work through their underlying problems and build a positive foundation that doesn’t warrant addictive behavior.
Counseling is offered in individual, group and family sessions at The River Source. Our counselors work with each client on a personalized basis, providing them with the tools that are needed to work through their problems in a healthy, non-destructive manner.
Continuing Care Program
Completing a treatment program does not cure addiction or alcoholism, though we wish it would. Recovery is a lifelong pursuit, and success is largely dependent on how the patient continues their care. The purpose of continuing care is to create a structured plan that avoids temptation and encourages a healthy, productive lifestyle.
The River Source encourages accountability in all patients, and we set them on the road to success with comprehensive aftercare plans that include sobriety checks, 12 Step meetings, ongoing therapy sessions, and the use of our naturopathic clinic. Following an individualized care plan greatly reduces the risk of relapse for the patient.
Holistic Treatment Program
Holistic care is a form of healing that involves the total person. In this case, holistic care uses naturopathic therapies to draw from the strength of the individual person to combat addiction and alcoholism. Using this approach, patients are able to restore balance and heal from their addictions – mind, body and spirit.
We use holistic therapies to help patients deal with their emotions in a constructive manner and work through temptation. Acupuncture, massage therapy, meditation and neurofeedback are examples of holistic therapies. When one or several of these methods are used, the person is able to work through their emotions to identify the underlying or root causes that fed their addiction, and can then successfully begin the healing process.
After being at several other rehabs in my past, The River Source was the one for me. They helped me to find and work the 12 Step program like no one else has before. I am very grateful for The River Source. They made my time here a wonderful experience. From all of my house mates all the way up to the staff. The extras are just a perk. The Source is a force with a purpose Thank you for saving my life!
My experience at The River Source was life changing. I have been given a chance to look deep inside myself, my past and my problems. I feel like I’ve grown in all aspects of my life and begun to make the right decisions and changes. The steps have brought me a peace I have never felt before. Thank you all for this gift and opportunity, thank you for the tools and knowledge I need to apply this to my life outside these walls. Thank you, thank you, thank you
I was brought to The River Source from the hospital because I needed help with my alcohol and drug addiction. I was very suicidal when I got here and didn’t know if I could do this again, or if I even wanted to. I was depressed and just wanted life to end. What I came to realize was that God never stopped believing in me and was still there to help me if I was willing to ask and let go of my old ways of living and thinking. I have never worked all 12 steps and surely never was honest with the first 3 steps. Here I have worked all 12 steps as honestly as I can and will continue to work them again. I want to live now and I have faith and hope in God, that I have never felt before. I have felt, seen and heard God since I have been here and will continue to keep this new found faith through prayer and meditation, along with helping others to see what God and the steps can do for them.
I came to the River Source because I am an alcoholic and could not stop drinking. My experience at the River Source was good, the staff was very supportive and knowledgeable about the 12 steps and spirituality of the program. Life is a lot better now that I completed the 30 days.
