Stephen Leza
Director of Admissions
As the Director of the Admissions Department, my role within our company is to oversee the admissions process of onboarding clients into our treatment facility. When a potential client or loved one calls into our center the Admissions team members are the first voice that is heard, bringing a new sense of hope and education to a family that is struggling with the disease of addiction. We pride ourselves on providing quality customer service and education about our center so the individuals we work with can make an informed decision on next steps to take on the road to recovery. I ensure that my team is prepared to help every single caller who reaches out for help effectively and with compassion. Our team members are all in recovery and most are also alumni of The River Source program who have achieved long lasting sobriety through the treatment program.
As a person in recovery, I know what it is like to be on the other side of the phone desperately searching for help and at the same time fearful to make the commitment. Providing personal connection and education is what I enjoy the most about being in this field, with the ability to be able to connect with individuals using my personal experience in recovery. With the help of treatment, I was able to be blessed with the gift of sobriety in January of 2011 at the age of 20. I then began my career path in the behavioral health field in 2012 and have been with The River Source since 2014. What I enjoy most about working for The River Source is the family atmosphere and ability to genuinely connect with the clients we serve utilizing our experience of sobriety. When you are passionate and love what you do, you never work a day in your life, with The River Source it is just like that.
When I was in active addiction I was scared, confused, and did not know how to live a quality life. Recovery has blessed me with a life beyond my wildest dreams. The greatest blessing being that I can wake up every single day with no obsessive thoughts of using mind altering substances. My passion is the ability to share the message of hope to our clients, walk alongside them through recovery, and witness their ongoing success. Never in my life before recovery would I have thought life would be this good, The River Source and sobriety has shown me that there is hope for every individual struggling with addiction to live a great life in recovery.
